The Institute is responsible for providing fully trained tutors for those wishing to study for the Foundation Certificate, the Diploma in Funeral Directing and the new Higher Certificate in Funeral Service Management. Regular courses are held for Tutors to enable them to keep up to date with current practice.

The Institute holds a Register of Professionally Qualified Funeral Directors and has recently issued its own Licence to Practice to those members who are committed to Continuous Professional Development.

A list of BIFD Tutors is published each year, in town/area alphabetical order, to assist students seeking tuition for the Diploma in Funeral Directing. Each Tutor sets her/his own schedule and fees. Students should contact Tutors directly.
