The Board of Governors, through the Publications Committee and Colin Liddell, Editor of the Journal, are responsible for the production of a Journal which is published quarterly and distributed to Members and Student Members free of charge.

The Editor

Colin Liddell (FICF DipFD MBIFD) was appointed editor of the BIFD Journal in 2002, an independent funeral director based in the North East of England, Colin has been a member of the British Institute of Funeral Directors (BIFD) since the 1990’s and has served as a member of the Board of Directors as well as the Institute’s Professional Practices Committee.

Colin also holds a fellowship of the Institute of Civil Funerals and holds a Diploma in Funeral Directing and a Licence to Practice, issued by the BIFD.
