Our next CPD session is on Tuesday 26th March at 19:00 Via Zoom and will be delivered by Sarah Clark-Hall.

Sarah Clark-Hall is an American qualified funeral director and embalmer who moved to the United Kingdom in March of 2019 after marrying her English spouse. Sarah attended Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service in Decatur, Georgia where she also worked for an SCI firm, H.M. Patterson & Son Funeral Chapels, in Atlanta, Georgia where she gained funeral service experience following her graduation in 2014. In 2015, Sarah moved to Roanoke, Virginia where she completed her apprenticeship and practiced as a licensed funeral director, embalmer, and crematory operator at a family-owned firm, John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home and Crematory, in Salem, Virginia. Sarah now works for Anglia Ruskin University School of Medicine’s Anatomy Centre in Chelmsford, Essex as the mortuary technician to embalm and maintain those who donate their bodies to anatomical education, training, and research. Sarah will discuss her experiences as a funeral director in America and her observations of England’s funeral service practices for comparison.
